Don’t be a smartass

Einstein once said, “if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing it is stupid.”

This is so true.

For God forbids how long, I have spent my whole lifetime thinking trophies were everything. Being smart means attending a good school, excelling in all my courses and getting a good job after.

Society deluded me into thinking that class, awards and status were everything.

It was only until recently that I realized that being smart and excelling in school are useless when you dont have a goal.

I thought finding my goal would be hard. But you know what, it actually isn’t.

Today, I found myself flipping through my diary entries dated way back to 2013… then, I wrote my desire and realized even until now, that desire hasn’t changed at all.

Steve Jobs once said, “As with all the matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

I gulped as I discovered I might have already prophesized my own future.

Moral of the story: Find a goal

Solution: Keep living your life.
